4 Wonka Movie Inspired Cocktails You Can Make At Home
It’s finally here! Wonka! And here are 4 cocktails inspired by the Movie that you can make at home to accompany your home movie Wonka watching party!
Like many, I’ve waited since 2005 for a new Wonka movie to be released. Well, actually, that’s a lie. I’ve actually been waiting since birth because let’s face it, the 1971 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Gene Wilder was the only one worth watching.
No offence to Johnny Depp. He’s an amazing actor but I just wasn’t feeling the 2005 Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
But all that’s behind us! Now we have Timothee Chalamet taking the Wonka reigns with the 2023 release of Wonka!
Wonka Watching Party
Most of us will be going to the cinema to watch the new release. But let’s face it, there’s a cost of living crisis and I don’t think it’ll be long till we see Wonka released on some form of streaming party, I’m looking at your Amazon Prime and Disney+.
Which mean’s a lot of us will be saving it for then.
But just because we’re not going to the cinema, does not mean we have to settle. We can still make this a Wonka party!
Tips for hosting a Wonka movie party
When it comes to hosting the perfect Wonka party, here are my top tips;
Purple Purple Purple. You need to dress purple, act purple and look purple.
Snack Galore - I’m talking every chocolate you can get your hands on and more.
Magic. Everything’s got to look magically so whip out the top hats.
and of course…
Wonka Inspired Cocktails
It goes without saying considering you’ve landed on my little slice of the internet. But giving most of us are of a certain age and appreciate a tipple or 2. We’re going to need some cocktails. So you sort the purple outfits (maybe pick something from Taylor Swifts Speak Now Era, and if you’re a man, go with Taylor Swifts Speak Now era for men) and I’ll sort out the Wonka themed drinks.
Weekly Excuse to have a mini party
More on the cost of living crisis, too much do people associate having some fun, making memories and having a party with going out and spending £18 on a single cocktail. I’m here to tell you that nothing is stopping you staying in, dressing how you like, watching what you like and drinking classy cocktails for a 10th of the price.
Honesty, it what made me do the cocktail course.
Change the way you view good times and save your money. This for example, the release of Wonka, is a perfect way to host a mini party even if it’s just you and one more person. Even if it’s just you riding solo!
You won’t have to wait in line for a drink or to go toilet, you can wear what you want without feeling silly or embarrassed, and no one is going to kick you out a club for wearing the wrong shoes.
More Movie Cocktails
At this point I think I’m slowly becoming the movie cocktail guy. I’ve been creating movie inspired cocktails for as long as this website has been a thing. I cover quite a lot of these on this article here about all the popular movie themed and inspired cocktails you can make.
But every now and again I like to really dedicate some time to certain movies and shows. Such as these Charlie and the Chocolate Factory/Willy Wonka themed drink recipes.
I’ve done everything from the Baby Yoda cocktail to the Cruella De Vil Cocktail. Check out the recipes below for the full range.
