9 Tips For Throwing an EPIC Taylor Swift SPEAK NOW Party At Home
Taylor Swift has recently announced international tour dates for the Era’s tour. Which is brilliant! however, we must be realistic. Just like the America tour, there will be more people upset about not being able to get a ticket then people who have a gotten a ticket.
And one thing you can do if you are one of the unlucky majority left ticketless to soften the burn, is to throw your own Taylor Swift party at home.
Maybe it’s not even about the tour. Maybe you’re just a massive Swiftie who’s looking to host a Taylor Swift themed party. Maybe someone in your group or family is a massive Swiftie and you’re looking to host a party for them (ain’t you just a star).
Maybe you just want to throw a party for the sake of throwing a party. You don’t need to wait for a reason to host a Taylor Swift party.
Well whatever the case might be. I’ve got you covered with 9 tips to throw the most epic Taylor Swift party all from the comfort of your own home.
#1 What to wear
Taylor Swift has an vast sense of fashion. Do you go with country, cowboy boots, and country dresses? Do you go for Reputation leather and grit? Or should you stay relevant with Speak Now purple?
The options are endless.
My recommendation would be to go with Era’s. Everyone coming to the party has to dress as there favourite Taylor Swift era.

#2 Drinks
Drinks can often be an afterthought when it comes to a themed party. I mean, what even is a Taylor Swift drink?
But whether its a party for adults or a party for kids, a good themed drink can make the night.

#3 Food
Everyone gets hungry at parties and no one wants full meals. You’re best option here is to go with sweet and savoury picky bits.
For the sweet - go to your local supermarket and pick up a range of cupcakes. Use the cake toppers from the party pack and garnish them so they look spectacularly Swiftie.

#4 Taylor Swift Games
The worse part about hosting party is that awkward stage where no one quite knows what to do. That’s where games come in handy. Ideally you want a few Taylor Swift games so you can use one as a party ice-breaker early on in the night, then whip some out every hour or so when things start to slow down.

You also have Finish The Lyric and word scramble. So there’s enough there for you to stay busy all night long. I recommend printing them off and dishing them out throughout the night.
If you’re crafty enough, you could also make your own games.
#5 Photoshoot
What better way to remember your epic Taylor Swift party then with a photoshoot.
If you can get a polaroid camera, even better. The instax is a great choice. It’s affordable and great for amateurs and pro’s alike.

I recommend organising your photoshoot to be in the middle of your party. Too early and people tend to act a little stiff. To late and people end up being a little bit too all over the place.
To take your photoshoot to the next level. Try using props. I mean, you’ll already look fantastic if everyone is in there era’s outfits but a good prop can really add to the photoshoot.
For Taylor Swift props you want things like blonde wigs and guitars. Inflatable guitars are great if you don’t personally own one.

#6 Decorations
Speaking of props is a great way to lead into decorations.
For a Taylor Swift themed party, I have 2 recommendations;
If you have the space, decorate each room of your house to suit a different Era. Pastels for Lover, snakes and dark tones for Reputation etc..
If you don’t have the space or want to keep it more simple. I’d recommend going with Speak Now as it is the most recent release. It’s also a very identifiable theme. Just everything purple. Purple balloons, table covers and props.

#7 Taylor Swift Quizzes
Similar to the games a quiz is a great way to lighten the mood.
I have a full 4 round (including picture round) quiz in the party pack. I’d recommend printing of the quiz and naming one person with the most charism as the quiz host.
You can also give prizes to the winner or turn it into a drinking game - The loser takes a shot.
#8 The Music
This should go without saying but worth the mention nevertheless. You want Taylor Swift music and Taylor Swift music only.
I will accept covers of Taylor Swift songs. But let’s keep this in theme shall we.
#9 Karaoke
You can’t speak about Taylor Swift parties, and music, without mentioning Karaoke.
